Ethan holding the screaming child in the front row. This picture was at Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Creston's wedding. They had all the neices and nephews as their wedding party. This was December 2007. |
Ethan was not a fast learner at dressing himself. He just was always on the go, so dressing himself didn't go fast enough. When he did dress himself his shirt was undoubtedly on backwards. We tried to explain and show, but he didn't care. He would wear his shirt backwards a lot. We had Cynthia and Creston take the kids one weekend while we were out of town a year or two ago. When we got back Ethan was so excited to show us that Uncle Creston had taught him how to put his shirt on correctly! Keep in mind we had tried to teach him many a time, but he didn't have patience with us. He loved his Uncle Creston though and would do it for him. He always dressed himself from then on. Thanks Creston :)
Uncle Creston also pointed out that Ethan could throw balls for hours. He could. Ethan would do anything if you would just play catch or "kick back and forth" with him. Creston commented he loved having him over for this reason.
Creston also has mentioned how much Ethan's passionate personality is like his. Because of Creston's passion for the gospel he knows Ethan is doing very well where he is at!
I am just grateful the last day I took him to the park I played catch with the football for about 1/2 hour with him...even in my pregnant state :) I now look back at that moment and am very grateful I didn't play the "tired" card.
what an awesome kid he is! and writing these things down is such an important part of his life.
ReplyDeleteKim, I do remember taking those pictures at Creston and Cynthia's wedding and how my twins would not take the picture and how Ethan was such a trooper and would not let go of Kaylee even though she was screaming and kicking. What a sweet boy and such a great helper!!
