As I previously blogged, Madilyn has been wishing on a "star" for months for a new kitchen. Mom and Dad wanted to make this wish come true. This is what we came up with:
|
We had this from a friend. She gave it to us for Madilyn's room. We took off one of the cupboards. |
|
I stole this picture for another website, but this is the exact changing table we found on Craigslist for $20.

|
This is what we came up with. It looks quite green in the picture. It is green, but a much better green than it looks.

We tried to be as creative as possible. There are a lot of ideas to steal from out there, so it was fun! I did use chalkboard paint on the refrigerator and stove (just because it was black). The burners, which are red, do actually turn on by pressing them (Marcus conjured up this idea). The burner is actually a plastic tupperware lid. Thanks to Becky for helping with the curtain! Thanks to Coltin for help with the cuts and and trim!
Madilyn has spent many hours in her kitchen already. Its been fun to watch.
That's very creative and fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so awesome. I know a certain little boy that would be sooooo jealous. Erin's son, Emmett, loves to pretend he's cooking and would just love a kitchen (maybe without the girlie curtains. LOL Awesome job.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely adorable. What a great gift for her!!!
ReplyDeleteI won't show this to Isabella or she will want one and I doubt I am that crafty :)
