Comments on my kids.

I am sitting here today realizing that life really does speed up.  I used to think that "time flew," but it really does.  I have a hard time admitting to my age now.  Only because I still feel like I am in my 20's, but know I am not.  I don't want my kids to grow and they grow too fast.  I only wish there was some way to slow it down.  But, that's when it's a catch 22 for me.  I want to see Ethan and fast....the only way to do that fast is if time speeds up.  So, I am grateful for time going by, but I don't want to miss a moment with the kids I have here with me.

A few notes on my kids so I don't forget and maybe you can enjoy:

Brady has recently been called a "genius baby."  This is because he knows how to slide open the ipad, choose Netflix, choose a show, choose a season (can' believe this one) and start or stop the show.  I am not sure he's a genius or his mom has "excellent" mothering skills?

Madilyn cried and cried the other night because she had to move out of Parker's room.  We have had a friend living with us in Madilyn's room for the past 6 months, and this is the first time she's shared a room.  She loves having Parker in there with her.  I think she feels safe.  Well, Parker hasn't loved it as much.  Plus, he is going to be 12 soon and needs his own room.  She is managing her sorrow by being excited about the extra space.

I picked Parker up from orchestra yesterday.  He loves his "social" time before orchestra, which is actually when he is supposed to do his homework.  I guess his "social" time was fun yesterday because he told me about it all the way home.  I asked him if it was with the bunch of girls I saw him standing with.  He said it was.  He said, "I am building relationships.  I think it will be good for my dating years."  I can't stop smiling about that comment.

A memory I am not sure I posted before about Ethan, but remembered when I was in the bathroom the other day.  I remember he was outside the bathroom door (he was maybe 6?) and wanting my attention.  I was in the process of opening a feminine product.  He must have heard the wrapper because he was screaming, "What do you have in there?  I know you have candy!"  Haven't stopped chuckling about that one.  Such a crazy.
