Lemons

Couple things about lemons....

First, literally we have been making lemonade out of lemons :)

We've had this tree forever, but this year we had freezing temps and had to pick all of these lemons at once.  They are not as big as usual, but now I still have lemon juice for a year or two.

Beautiful!  (And, look how adorable our wedding pic is in the background.  The question  I always get is "Is that Marcus?"  The hair really throws people.  And, would I really have a picture of an ex displayed in my house????)

Second, I have been reading a book on leadership.  I decided to take a couple of classes towards my Masters Degree I have always wanted.  In the book it talks about how leaders are defined by taking their "lemons" in life and making lemonade.  Defining moments such as war, loss of a loved one, a divorce, or a "lesson learned" help create leaders--those who are good at leading people.  I have enjoyed this book so far because I have realized everybody has a defining moment and how you handle it shapes who you become.  I hope I have learned to make lemonade, because I really try.......
