Best Birthday!

For those who know us, you know my husband never misses a beat when it comes to my birthday.  He loves making birthdays awesome.  I wish I had recorded all my birthdays because they have all been so awesome.  I have had scavenger hunts, trips, spa days, relaxing days, shopping sprees, etc.  But, today was fun!  Each year I think it can't get better, but I love each year even more.  I think because he is able to keep coming up with things to do.  Many of my friends wait to hear what I have done because he has really done some crazy ones.
We always start out with breakfast in bed.  All birthdays, Mother's Day and Father's Day warrants breakfast in bed.  Because I had to go into work today, Marcus was up bright and early.  Breakfast in bed was at 6 am.  It is always my favorite, french toast with powdered sugar, side of strawberries, chocolate milk and some sausage :)  Yum!
Work was enjoyable on a birthday as well.  My co-worker gave me my favorite yogurt fruit parfait and the whole staff gave me a card ....but the whole school did their birthday song...love it!
I came home to my kids waiting at a little table at the front door with a sign above them saying "Kim's Spa."  I had a list of things (above).  I don't know if it's very readable, but I love the pricing.  The pricing is 2 hugs for a facial from Parker, 1 hug and 1 kiss for a mani/pedi from Madilyn, a massage from Marcus "it'll cost ya" and Loves from Brady.....priceless!  A shout out to our niece and nephew, Ross and Brookelynn who helped put it all together!  I think Brookelynn did more than Ross, but you'd have to ask them??
I was spoiled for hours.  I had a manicure/pedicure, a facial, a massage, a bubble bath, loves from Brady, a candlelight dinner and a delicious chocolate cake (Thank you, Julia, for the cake!  She doesn't believe in boxed cakes, so wouldn't allow Marcus to do that.  I admit, hers was MUCH better.).
I love my birthdays. Thanks, honey!!
My husband thinks we look like self-worshippers because we have so many family pictures in the house.  I don't care.  Since Ethan died, I can never have enough pictures of us all together.  Since our new family picture matched by bedroom colors, I got the framed one to go above our bed.  Love!
I am actually not aging anymore.  So, even though it's my birthday, I am only 31.  We'll see what I feel next year.
Thank you for all the birthday wishes.  It has been delightful.  Can't wait for another :)
