What a terrible tragedy.
"I can't imagine what these parents and families are going through."
That was my first statement to my mom.
She responded, "Yes, you can!"
I can, but only to a degree.
I know what it's like to lose a child at that young age.
I know what it's like to feel that pain.
I know what it's like to continue feeling that pain.
I know what it's like to miss your child every single day for almost two years.
I know what it's like to go home to an empty bedroom and just cry because there is nothing else to do.
I know what it's like to try and keep their memory alive.
I know what's it's like to try and collect every picture and video ever taken.
I know what it's like to not have the same dynamic in your home as you are used to.
I know what it's like to be angry about a situation.
I know what it's like to feel God's love at a terrible time.
I know what it's like to have angels surrounding you.
However, I don't know what it's like to have my child killed.
I don't know what it's like to have the job of trying to forgive the person who took my child's life.
I don't know their situation.
But, I am praying constantly for them.
It was a terrible, thoughtless act.
May God bless all these families.
I love reading your blog. I can't imagine what these families are going through but I hope they all have someone like you in their lives to give them hope and support. You are so amazing :)
