Little Prayers

After having many "little prayers" answered lately, I thought it appropriate to share a couple.  I had a lengthy discussion about these little prayers this morning on a walk with my friend.  I love knowing there is a God who loves us and answers prayers-even the seemingly small and insignificant ones.

In our house, keys are commonly lost.  (I won't use the word ALWAYS here, but we come close)  We have learned repeatedly that if we pray to find our keys, we will find them.  We ALWAYS do find them.  And, usually within the time we need to.

Last week I was missing two of my 'favorite' Brady things.  I was missing a blanket a friend had made, and Brady's Brady jersey my brother had given to him.  Brady's room is fairly organized all the time so I couldn't figure out where else to look.  I decided a little prayer couldn't hurt.  I felt a little silly because it was over small material things, but I knew if it was important to me, a prayer would be okay.

After saying this little prayer, I found the blanket a couple minutes later underneath the crib mattress.  We had used it to prop the mattress up a bit when Brady had an ear infection.  I don't know why I used a 'favorite' blanket for that?  However, it was great to find it!  Then a "little thank you prayer" was given.

Yesterday, I found the Brady jersey, which I was sure had been lost forever after not finding it last week.  It was in a box on his dresser underneath a pile of receiving blankets.  I had decided yesterday it was time to put these little blankets away and there was the jersey!  I was very a very happy mom :)

Here's a picture of the Brady jersey on Brady:

We tried to capture the name of the back with him looking back at us.  It didn't work as well as we thought it would.

  1. I commonly misplace things as well, and after I say a little prayer they always seem to pop up. I am grateful every time! Yes, it is nice knowing there is a God who loves us, and will help us even with the little things. :)
