Here the kiddos are in the airport on the way to Michigan. We actually flew into Detroit (where my parent's other home is) and then drove on to Cleveland. This is actually the same trip from a couple of weeks ago, but I had forgotten I had taken these on my camera. Like I said, my camera is terrible and I have to guess at what I am taking a picture of, thus only the top of Brady's head in the picture. I do have to mention I love having a ten year old when I have a newborn! Parker is such a big help. So is Madilyn but Brady is catching up to her size pretty quick!
Here we are on the plane. We all sat in the same row. Unfortunately, on our four hour flight Brady did not sleep. He didn't cry. But, he didn't sleep. He just was enjoying the new environment. Its just hard to hold a baby for that long without getting a little tired of it.
I took this because he looked so cute rolling around after being held and in car seats for so long.
Brady just looked so tiny from upstairs.
We woke up the next morning to snow. Yes, my children are out there without jackets. This is because we were borrowing all of our snow stuff from our cousins so we didn't have to pack extra. Since we hadn't made it to the cousins yet, they ran out without coats. They should've at least put on their sweatshirts, but they were just too excited to go outside.
They came back in and we found these lovely Russian hats in my parent's closet. It's all we had, so we put them in them.
Here's Madilyn as dressed as she could be. At least she finally put on the sweatshirt.
My dad trying on hats. I think I just thought this was funny so I snapped a picture.
When we arrived in Ohio our cousins weren't quite back at their house yet. We scrounged around and found snow stuff because Parker and Madilyn wanted to go outside immediately. Here's Madilyn's first step outside.
Parker. Yes, his coat is on the pink side. It's Aunt Jessica's. We just couldn't find anything else at the time.
Looks like Hannah made it home and helped Madilyn build a little snowman.
We loved our trip! I just wanted to make sure we had on all of our pictures.
I'll never forget the snow trips with Ethan. He would just go, go go. He didn't care how wet or cold he was, he just wanted to keep going. I remember my mother-in-law commenting on "how determined" he was. If he wanted to make something happen, he did. What a kid :) Wish he still here with us. Boy, is he missed every day! We just can't believe sometimes that we have to keep going without him. Love you Ethan!
