This was what they called the landing strip. There were six experiments or so. Parker loved these. The boys in his group kept saying "Parker, slow down." I would say, "Its okay, he's just crazy." There answer, "He's just crazy smart!" It was cute. I did ask the girls in the group if Parker was nice ( I think its important to be a nice kid). They told me he was definitely the nicest in the class. That made me happy :)
I will forever regret not going on a field trip with Ethan. I remember him begging me to go, but I had to work. Instead of taking off the day, I just told him I couldn't go this year (twice). Now that I 'm not working its easier to go with the kids. But, if I was working I would not hesitate to take the day off and spend it with my kids. Even if it had to be an unpaid day. It's worth it for how happy they are when you are there with them. I will now be going to the zoo with Madilyn's class soon. Not too excited about the zoo with a bunch of 5 yr olds, but I am excited to be there for Madilyn.
Oh, a side note: I tried the flight simulator on the computer (which was our last station) and I crash landed three times. All those around me (10 yr olds) had perfect landings. It has to be video games because I am no good at those either. |
WOW! That looks like the best field tip ever. I love going in field trips with my kiddos, but while I'm stressing about the where a bouts of the group I'm in charge of, I secretly wish I was there with just my own kid! So glad you got to go. I bet Parker loved it!
