The Cat in the Hat

 

This is my mothering......

Does this remind you of anything?  I took this picture because I thought it was funny how they put their chairs right in front of the tv.  Afterwards, all I could think about was The Cat in the Hat.

The difference is my kids were looking at a tv.  AND they had plenty to do---the above picture of my children was their break between hours of swimming in grandma's pool.

As I look at this I am saddened a bit because I miss having my Ethan sitting inbetween them.  And, he would've placed himself right in the middle.  Some days are just harder than others.  Today is one of those.  Just a hard day to not have him here.  Sometimes, I wish this wasn't MY story--that I was telling someone else's.
