Happy Birthday Madilyn!

Madilyn is 6 today.  She had a birthday party a couple of days ago, but today she says she FEELS six!  She was even uncertain what to wear because she was six and not five. I let her know the five year old clothes were fine.  She did, however, wear a new t-shirt from Aunt Leah and Uncle Greg that reads:    Play like a girl.  Beat the boys.
We love this girl. She's our favorite girl in the world!  She's becoming a little naughty, but that is to be expected when she is spoiled like she is :)  No, she's really not naughty.  She has a stubborn side and we're not sure what side of the family this comes from???  It's a tough call.  Those Ellsworths can be a little stubborn. (Hope we all caught the sarcasm there).
Madilyn's favorite things are her new Guess Who game, her fur real dog (who still needs a name--any suggestions?), macaroni and cheese (homemade) with hotdogs, chicken with yummy sauce, baseball and soccer.
At school they had a "Winter Party."  Her mom and dad both came because she was going to be presented with her birthday crown.
This is her teacher presenting her with her crown:

Cute birthday girl with a crown.  Notice the mud soaked sleeves.  I honestly couldn't believe how dirty she was when I walked into the classroom.  She loves to dig in the dirt!  The only explanation I have for this is she grew up with brothers.
We wanted daddy to try on the crown too.
Madilyn at the beginning of her party.  Her dad thought a Winter Festival theme with pirates was appropriate.
Here's part of the winter festival in our backyard.  My dad was in charge of this game.  The kids had 30 seconds to cover a dot on the paper (posted on the tree) with snow spray.
This game was manned by Uncle Greg.  You can only see his left leg.  In this game the kids had to loop the coke bottle with a shower curtain hook and stand up the bottle.  I could not do this.  However, our cousin Camden who was the youngest at the party had no problems.  He was a pro!
This game with the lovely ladder was to let the ball swing (it was tied to the tree) and hit stacked cups and knock them all off the table.
The kids after the games and ready for the pirates in the background.
Our pirates on the pirate ship giving the "pirate training" before the treasure hunt.  I apologize for the poor pictures.  But, I did break my camera and only have 1/2 the screen to look at when shooting.  Its tricky.
 Cake time.
We do breakfast in bed every birthday morning.  We did her party 2 days before her "real" birthday because cousins were in town.  She is already embarrassed that I am putting these up.

She's played with the glove and ball all day.

Cute girl!  We love you.  You're the best.  We are so happy to be your parents.  Be easy on us.
