Another Before and After


Here's the Before....

 We have had this table for quite a few years.  It was made by a family member and given to us to 'stay in the family'.  I kept it outside even when I was told not to.  So, the table started looking like it was time to get rid of, may Goodwill?  However, it was such a cute table I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it.  So, I decided to paint it.

Here's the 'After'

 I did chalkboard paint on the top.  It is a turqoise blue paint (hard to see in the picture).  I distressed it a bit. You can see a little distressing on the bench below.
Madilyn has stolen the bench for her room, so its not sitting with the table anymore.  I do have another bench that goes with the table I haven't painted yet.

I did this project months ago, but decided to share it now.  All of these projects are very therapeutic for me as I have said before.  I love how a fresh coat of paint feels like something is new.  I wish I could put a fresh coat of paint over me.....Its hard to feel fresh and new and happy every day...but when I see a finished project it looks fresh and new and I feel happy.
