Does It Ever Slow Down?

Do you ever wonder if life will ever slow down?
I used to say things like, "After next week, life will slow down."
I have realized over the years, that life does slow down, but usually just for a day or two.
Then, it starts again.
My husband and I are both notorious for doing 10,000 things.
Actually, I get depressed if I don't have at least 1000 things to do each day.
Okay, not quite 1000.
Since Ethan died, I only have to have around 500.
The point is, I have tried to slow it down, but it becomes busier with other things.
I love it.
I love going to my kid's games, shows, recitals.
I love serving others.
I love to be in charge (just ask my husband).
I love trying to solve a problem (most days).
I love that my house is lived in and SOMETIMES clean.
I still am bothered by a dirty house, but not as much.
A dirty house (usually not "dirty" just messy) isn't the worst thing.
I feel I have experienced some of the "worst"--or at least close to it.
The little things don't bother me as much, but I am still me.
They bother me--I just TRY to handle it better.
I rambled....

  1. I needed this post today because I was wondering the same thing myself. It is good to know that I will continue to have small breaks but no real slow down in life! Thanks for rambling.

    Love,
    Esther
