So, I was happily putting Brady to sleep about 9:00 pm on Thursday night (a little late for him, but his schedule has been terrible lately) when I heard a knock at the door. I wondered who was coming over so late. Not that I mind nine o'clock, but its just not usual. To my surprise it was my sister-in-law, Robin, with about 150 pumpkins! I should've realized that my husband asked to have them delivered. But, just to show our communication in our relationship, I had no idea they were arriving. I wasn't as pleased as he would've hoped. But, for the last two days he's been a pumpkin-selling machine. Marcus did, however, leave his mother-in-law babysitting Brady Friday morning AND selling pumpkins. If anyone knows my mom, that is not up her alley. But, as he said, "she was cool about it." What was she going to say when he was leaving for work and 150 pumpkins were all over the driveway?
It has actually been enjoyable selling these freshly picked pumpkins from Robin's farm in Snowflake. We'll probably do it again someday. Just not this year...
I got SO many compliments on my pumpkin from my friends at the party last night!! They all wanted to know where I found the amazing pumpkin with the gnarly stem :) I hope you do it again, make sure to let me know!! It was so great to see you and catch up!
