Happy Halloween!

I posted this picture yesterday, but had to include it here.  We have been inspired by others (mainly Mendy) to theme out Halloween, but have only been successful a couple of times.  Marcus was all costumed as Darth Vader, but then couldn't make it for the Trunk-or-Treat.  Darn it.  I thought of having a stand-in just for the picture, but decided against it.

I need to thank my sister-in-law, Julie, for "pulling" the costumes.  She has collected so many costumes over the years with all the theater do.  However, she is the ONLY one that can go to costume storage, look at a big pile of costumes and know exactly where to pull out the shirt for Han Solo or the dress for Queen Amidala.  Honestly, it is a talent.  I asked her a few weeks in advance and she got them to me.  All I did was buy some white make-up for my face.  Thanks!!

And thank you to my friend, Julia, had the Yoda costume.  It was actually her son, Kaden, that decided what we should be for Halloween.  About 6 weeks ago Kaden asked us our plan.  I had not thought that far ahead, he was?  Yep, he was already thinking about it.  Well, because of his planning ahead, he helped us plan during our carpool time.  We went with the Star Wars theme.

Loved planning it.

We missed our Ethan.  But, honestly, it was the first "holiday" (if you count it as one) that hasn't been difficult.  It was fun, we planned as family and friends, and it didn't hurt to miss him. We did miss him, but we enjoyed this Halloween season!  Can't wait to take the kids out tonight!

Happy Halloween!
