We are in Utah. I decided to bring my kids on a trip to see family. I did this a couple of years ago with Parker, Ethan and Madilyn. Marcus never seems to get to come because it is the worst season for his job to leave town. So, I take our October Break and leave with the kids. My mom did accompany us on this trip this time. We missed Ethan this time, of course, but I have the best travelers for kids! Thank heaven for that.
We are hanging out with my Aunt Cara and family in Parawon (Sp??) this weekend before we head to meet up with the Ellsworth side (my sister-in-law is always gracious enough to let us stay at the Ellsworth Hotel). However, Cara, for those who know her, is always a party. We have had more candy and fun today than should be allowed. My kids are having a blast.
We started the day lazily, which I love. We had breakfast at a cute little cafe with friends. I didn't particularly like the cheese on my omelet, but I survived. We looked at some houses in case anyone ever wants to know about the real estate here.
We visited some hot springs, which was a new experience for the kids. They were amazed that a random puddle-like hole is actually like a hot tub. Besides, it raining on our heads and all of our dry clothes, it was an adventure. Costa Vida to end the night couldn't be better :)
I am going to try to post pictures, but can't seem to get them on here.
How grateful I am for family. I love that I can come up here and feel at home. I am grateful that on both sides of my family they are willing to have us and help us.
We'll record more adventures tomorrow.
